do you consider the louis navellier web based etf grader grades with respect to your etf grades/recommendations? thank you for any response. in the 1.11.2010 _barron’s_ there was a story on 2010 etf recommendations, but when i inputtted the names or tickers into the navellier etf grader, some of the recommended etfs were poor/dogs.

chet, I am not familiar with the service you are referring to.

What is the logical time to invest in ETF? When the economy is in dip recession then start buying to sell it when it goes up. But how to begin is the big question. Any recommendation?

I have some gold bullion that I have owned for a long time and would like to sell it and have some funds available to follow your ETF recommendations. Do you have any information about the prospects for GLD at the present time?

  9. Daniel Gonik on May 4th, 2010 10:54 am

Signed up today. When might I expect the first ETF recommendation email.

  10. admin on May 4th, 2010 3:05 pm

WP, we had GLD on our portfolio but didn’t had much success with it because of it’s high volatility.

  11. admin on May 4th, 2010 3:17 pm

Daniel, it depends on the market action. As you can see we are 33% in cash right now and may add a new ETF to our portfolio soon.

    Hello To All,
By looking at the blog it appears as though there has not been a buy signal generated since April 6, 2010 and a sell since May 18, 2010…Is that correct???…..

    C. Collins, you are right. We are staying out of this market until we get a better picture of the market direction.

  15. Commodore Collins on June 22nd, 2010 9:02 am

When a “BUY” trade signal is generated, what percent of your monies do you recommend investing into ETF? 100%, 50%, 10% ??
    Thanks for your response,C. Collins

  16. admin on June 22nd, 2010 3:21 pm

We have a 3 positions portfolio and each ETF we buy represents 33.33% of the total portfolio value.

  17. Commodore Collins on June 30th, 2010 4:25 am

Ok…Getting into this a piece at a time :)…Next question….Do you use a trailing stop loss? If so what is your recommendation for that?……Maybe I’m asking quetions that can be found somewhere on this web page but I haven’t found them….Can there be some guidlines somewhere that I’ve not look yet?….Thanks for the help..

Commodore, you can find more details on how our service work here: http://www.etftradingsignals.com/how-etf-trading-signals-work/ The stop loss is part of our system and we will email all subscribers and post on our web site when a sell signal is generated.

  22. admin on July 19th, 2010 2:45 pm

Commodore, please check the trading alerts page to see the last signals and the portfolio page for open positions.

  23. Gregorio Fontane on December 25th, 2010 9:09 am

I see the SH chart, outdate June 14.
Where is it, form June till December ?
Why in this Web page every information is from 2008, 09, or
    early months of 2010.
Is it any charts from December 2010 in any ETF.

    Sorry for to many questions.
    Greg.

  24. admin on December 27th, 2010 10:54 am

Greg, the charts are from the time the buy signal was posted, they are not updated in real time. As you can see we are mostly in cash due to extreme overbought markets and this is why we have not issued any buy recommendations during the last months.

  25. Michael Gedwill on March 22nd, 2011 2:39 pm

On the 2 buys this AM, why don’t you give a initial stop loss and why not a limit for each instead of a market buy? TY

  26. admin on March 28th, 2011 6:44 pm

Michael, the stop loss is integrated on our trading system and change on a daily basis. Instead of sending an email with the new stop every day we will issue a sell signal when the stop is hit.

All orders are valid for the next day market open. The only good of a limit order is to keep us out of an ETF that is moving in our direction.
